Why I Started Brackley Gymnastics School
Brackley Gymnastics School was created following my experiences within the sport, where I saw inconsistencies in opportunity and expectations—particularly within recreational pathways.

I saw that when gymnasts are given the right time, support, and belief, they are capable of far more than they are often expected to achieve. That belief never left me and became the foundation for building something different.
I wanted to create an environment where every child is given the opportunity to develop properly, without limitations being placed on their potential.

I believe in strong foundations, consistent structure, and meaningful progression—where confidence is built and every child is supported to realise what they are capable of.

Brackley Gymnastics School is built on these principles, with the aim of creating a structured, supportive environment where children can grow in confidence, take ownership of their development, and reach their full potential, knowing they alone worked to achieve it.
Our Story
Brackley Gymnastics School opened on 1 May 2024. What started as a one-person operation has grown into a small dedicated team, all committed to the club’s development and the opportunities it creates for local children.

Since opening, the club has steadily expanded its equipment, floor space, and membership. The programme continues to grow as more children from the local community discover the sport and begin their journey in gymnastics. We have also welcomed gymnasts who attend additional training alongside their existing commitments, reflecting the demand for further development opportunities within the area.

What makes Brackley Gymnastics School different is its commitment to empowering children to understand and take ownership of their strengths and their potential to learn, problem-solve, and grow independently. We recognise that this approach is not always the easiest path, and it may not be for everyone. However, we believe that confidence built through independent accomplishment cannot be taken away once it is earned and sets children up for success both in and beyond the gym.

Our role is to provide the right environment, structure, and support to allow each gymnast to achieve this in their own time. We focus on genuine recognition, where progress and effort are meaningfully achieved, and every award reflects real development and commitment.

Our coaching approach focuses on strong foundations, safe and progressive skill development, and creating an environment where children feel supported and encouraged. We place equal importance on confidence, discipline, and enjoyment, ensuring that every gymnast develops both physically and personally.

Brackley Gymnastics School is a not-for-profit organisation, run on a volunteer-led basis and built on a genuine passion to create opportunities for every child. All profit is reinvested back into the club—into equipment, the environment, and the experience we provide. As the club continues to grow, our aim is to build a sustainable future that allows for ongoing development of both our gymnasts and the opportunities available within the local community.

We recognise that every child’s journey in gymnastics is different. Our programmes are designed to support this—starting with fun, engaging sessions that build confidence, and progressing into more structured development for those who wish to take their training further. Throughout every stage, our focus remains the same: to provide the right environment for each gymnast to grow, develop, and achieve their potential.

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers.
Our volunteers play a vital role in everything we do. Their time, commitment, and support behind the scenes make a significant difference to the running and development of the club.
There is far more involved than what is seen during sessions.

From the physical setup and pack-down of equipment, to ongoing training, internal development, and session planning—our team consistently gives their time to ensure every session runs safely, smoothly, and to a high standard.

Their contribution also extends beyond the gym floor, supporting events, preparing for future opportunities, and helping to build a strong and connected community around the club.
Their dedication, reliability, and shared belief in what we are building continues to shape Brackley Gymnastics School and the opportunities it provides for every child.

It is both humbling and inspiring to work alongside you. It is genuinely appreciated and valued every day, we are proud to have such a committed team supporting the club and members.
